Judge Overturns Georgia Abortion Ban

A Georgia judge overturned the state's six-week abortion ban Tuesday in
a major victory for reproductive justice. The law had previously been
blocked in 2019 but went into effect in July after the Supreme Court
overturned Roe v. Wade. Fulton County Judge Robert Mc Burney found the
ban violated the U.S. Constitution and Supreme Court precedent when it
was originally enacted in 2019.
