Justice Dept. Requests Jan. 6 Committee's Witness Deposition Transcripts

The Justice Department has asked the House committee investigating the
January 6 assault on the U.S. Capitol to hand over its transcripts of
witness depositions, but the panel has rejected the request. The chair
of the panel, Congressmember Bennie Thompson, told reporters that the
depositions were the property of the committee.
