Brazil's Amazon Suffered Record Rate of Deforestation in April

In Brazil, deforestation in the Amazon rainforest surged to a new record
high for the month of April. Last month's forest loss nearly doubled the
amount reported last April which itself set a record. Deforestation has
surged under the right-wing presidency of Jair Bolsonaro.
