Gun Violence Survivors Rally at U.S. Capitol to Call for Assault Weapons Ban

In Washington, D.C., parents of children murdered in Uvalde and
survivors of the Highland Park mass shooting gathered at the U.S.
Capitol Wednesday to demand a federal assault weapons ban. This is
Kimberly Rubio, whose daughter Lexi was one of 19 fourth graders and two
teachers killed by an 18-year-old gunman with an assault rifle at Robb
Elementary School in May.

Kimberly Rubio: "But there is one question that should be on the
forefront of their minds: What if the gunman never had access to an
assault weapon? I want that question to be the first thing to cross
their mind in the morning and the last thought they have before they go
to bed each night, because we are no longer asking for change. We are
demanding it, and we are angry as hell."
