Tens of Thousands Displaced as Cyclone Batsirai Batters Madagascar

In Madagascar, at least 10 people have been killed and some 48,000
displaced from their homes after Cyclone Batsirai battered the island
overnight Sunday. The cyclone made landfall in the southeastern city of
Mananjary with winds of about 100 miles per hour, triggering massive
floods, uprooting trees and destroying buildings. This is the second
major storm to hit Madagascar in two weeks.
