South Carolina Lawmakers Approve Near-Total Abortion Ban

In South Carolina, lawmakers in the Republican-led House have approved a
near-total ban on abortion except in cases of pregnancies caused by rape
or incest. Meanwhile, in Indiana, abortion clinics have sued to block
Indiana's near-total abortion ban, which is set to go into effect on
September 15. Clinics say the law "will infringe on Hoosiers' right to
privacy [and] violate Indiana's guarantee of equal privileges."
