Peggy Bellecourt, Co-Founder of American Indian Movement, Dies at 78

Peggy Bellecourt has died at the age of 78. In 1968, she co-founded AIM,
the American Indian Movement, with her husband Clyde Bellecourt and
others. Peggy Bellecourt was born in 1944 to an Ojibwe mother and a
Japanese American father. Her parents separated after Peggy's birth to
prevent her from being sent to a U.S. internment camp during World War
II.
