DeSantis Signs Bill to Rescind Disney World's Self-Governing Status

Florida's Republican Govenor Ron De Santis has signed a bill to rescind
Disney World's self-governing status, in what is widely seen as
retaliation for Disney's opposition to Florida's so-called "Don't Say
Gay" law. De Santis signed the bill on Friday.

Gov. Ron De Santis: "We believe an important component of freedom in the
state of Florida is the freedom from having oppressive ideologies
opposed upon you without your consent, whether it be in the classroom or
whether it be in the workplace, and we decided to do something about
it."
