Among the dead was a mother and a 3-month-old baby she was cradling. An 11-year-old girl who was shot seven times survived. The shooter also killed the family's dog. The gunman, 33-year-old Bryan Riley, was wounded during an intense gun battle with police and arrested. Riley was deployed as a Marine sharpshooter in both Iraq and Afghanistan between 2008 and 2010.
