Workers at Fast-food Chain Burgerville Reach Tentative Agreement 3 Years After Launching Union Effort

In labor news, workers at five branches of Pacific Northwest restaurant
chain Burgerville have become the country's first fast food employees to
successfully unionize. The tentative agreement with Burgerville includes
expanded sick leave, vacation benefits, paid parental leave and a
reliable three-month schedule. It also guarantees pay rates that are
higher than the statewide minimum wage.
