Georgia State Senate Advances Voter Suppression Bill as Iowa Rolls Back Election Access

Georgia's state Senate has approved legislation that would end the right
of voters to cast absentee ballots without excuses, while toughening
voter ID requirements. It's one of more than 250 voter suppression laws
being pushed by Republicans in state legislatures around the U.S. in the
wake of the 2020 election.

On Monday, Iowa's Republican Governor Kim Reynolds signed a voter
suppression bill that limits Iowa's early voting period and closes polls
one hour earlier on Election Day.
