Global Carbon Dioxide Emissions Surpassed Pre-Pandemic Levels by End of 2020

A new report by the International Energy Agency says global carbon
dioxide emissions have not only returned to pre-pandemic levels, but had
surpassed them by the end of last year. IEA's executive director said,
"If governments don't move quickly with the right energy policies, this
could put at risk the world's historic opportunity to make 2019 the
definitive peak in global emissions."
