Massive Internet Outage Hits Websites and Apps Worldwide

Thousands of websites and smartphone apps went dark around the world for
about an hour Tuesday morning after a major network failure, though
service was quickly restored in most places. The outage was linked to a
problem with the cloud service provider Fastly.
