U.S. Records Record Death Toll as States Ramp Up Vaccination Plans

The U.S. recorded its highest daily pandemic death toll Tuesday as 3,775
people succumbed to COVID-19. Hospitalizations also reached a new high,
while the number of confirmed COVID cases topped 21 million. States are
calling in National Guard members and training additional volunteers as
part of new efforts to speed up the rate of vaccinations.
