Census Bureau Misses Deadline, Upending Trump's Plans to Exclude Immigrants from 2020 Count

The Census Bureau missed its December 31 deadline to produce its final
counts for 2020. Those numbers will determine representation in Congress
and the number of electoral votes in each state. If the results are not
ready before Trump leaves office, his attempt to exclude undocumented
people from the final count is expected to fail.
