Newark Reaches Settlement over Water Crisis

In Newark, New Jersey, city and state officials reached a settlement
over the city's water crisis. Newark residents were regularly exposed to
illegally high levels of lead in the city's water supply, leading the
Natural Resources Defense Council and the Newark Education Workers
Caucus to sue in 2018 for violations of the federal Safe Drinking Water
Act.
