French Court Finds Government Failed to Take Action to Combat Climate Crisis

Climate activists in France celebrated a historic victory this week
after a court ruled the French state failed to take necessary action to
fight the climate catastrophe. The case was brought by four
environmental groups and backed by over 2 million people through an
online petition. The French state was ordered to pay a symbolic one euro
to each of the four organizations while the court reviews other
potential steps President Emmanuel Macron's government might be asked to
take.
