Major League Baseball Enacts Player Lockout, Leading To First Work Stoppage Since 1994

Major League Baseball's team owners have locked out players after
failing to reach a deal on a new collective bargaining agreement before
the previous contract officially expired at midnight Thursday. It's the
ninth labor stoppage in Major League history, and the first since a
player strike in 1994.
