Biden Admin Cancels Federal Student Loan Debt for Over 300,000 People with Disabilities

The Biden administration announced it is canceling over $5.8 billion in
federal student loan debt for over 300,000 people who have what is known
as a total and permanent disability. Advocacy groups and progressive
lawmakers welcomed the news and renewed calls for Biden to use his
executive authority to cancel the remaining $1.8 trillion in student
debt for all borrowers.
