Texas House Reaches Quorum After Dems Return to Capitol as Fate of Voting Bill Hangs in Balance

The Texas House of Representatives reached a quorum Thursday for the
first time since Democrats fled the state last month to block a voter
suppression bill. Earlier this week, the Texas Supreme Court ruled the
absent Democratic lawmakers could be arrested and forced to return to
the Capitol in Austin. The Republican-led House is set to consider the
voting bill during its special session. The returning Democrats vowed to
continue their fight from the House floor.
