Indian Point Nuclear Point Shuts Down Today

The Indian Point nuclear power plant is permanently shutting down today
following decades of protests. The plant is located just 25 miles north
of New York City. Decommissioning the plant is projected to take 12
years at a cost of over $2 billion.
