Watchdog Report Says Officers Instructed to Hold Back in Response to Jan. 6 Insurrection

A new report by the Capitol Police's watchdog reveals officials knew
Congress was the target of the deadly January 6 insurrection, yet
officers were instructed to refrain from deploying a more aggressive
response. Officials on duty on January 6 said the use of "crowd control"
equipment such as stun grenades could have helped "push back the
rioters."
