Tropical Storm Rene Forms, Continuing Record Atlantic Hurricane Season

In the eastern Atlantic Ocean, Tropical Storm Rene has formed near the
Cabo Verde Islands, becoming the earliest R-named storm in history and
keeping 2020 on pace to shatter the previous record for the Atlantic
