Top Pentagon Official Disputes Reports That Russia Paid Taliban Bounties for Dead U.S. Soldiers

NBC News is reporting the Pentagon has been unable to corroborate press
reports that the Russian government had paid bounties to the Taliban to
kill U.S. soldiers in Afghanistan. General Frank Mc Kenzie, the
commander of the U.S. Central Command, said, "It just has not been
proved to a level of certainty that satisfies me."
