U.S. Imposes Harsh New Sanctions on Iranian Oil

The Trump administration has imposed sweeping new counterterrorism
sanctions on Iran's oil sector in a move designed to make it harder for
Joe Biden to undo sanctions if he is elected president. This comes just
weeks after the Treasury Department essentially locked Iran out of the
global financial system by imposing sanctions on 18 Iranian banks.
