Melania Trump Recorded Dismissing Criticism of Family Separation at Southern Border

CNN has released audio recordings of first lady Melania Trump in 2018
dismissing the harm of separating asylum-seeking families at the
U.S.-Mexico border. Stephanie Winston Wolkoff recorded the comments
while working on her book "Melania and Me," about her relationship with
the first lady.

Melania Trump: "You know, who gives a [bleep] about Christmas stuff and
decoration? But I need to do it, right?"

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff: "Yeah, but" -

Melania Trump: "Correct?"

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff: "A hundred percent. You have no choice."

Melania Trump: "And, OK - and then I do it, and I say that I'm working
on Christmas, planning for the Christmas. And they said, 'Oh, what about
the children, that they were separated?' Give me a [bleep] break. Where
they were saying anything when Obama did that?"
