Moscow Eases Coronavirus Restrictions as Cases Continue to Surge

In Russia, Moscow's mayor has eased coronavirus restrictions even as
coronavirus cases continue to surge in the Russian capital. The easing
of the lockdown comes ahead of a nationwide vote that could extend
President Vladimir Putin's rule. Moscow continues to report over 1,000
new COVID-19 cases daily, while Russia as a whole is nearing a
half-million infections. Russia has reported over 6,300 coronavirus
deaths.
