July 14, 2020 China: 2 Million Displaced, 141 Missing in Historic Flooding ------------------------------------------------------------ In China, over 2 million people have been displaced, and at least 141 are dead or missing, as weeks of torrential rains have caused some of the worst flooding the country has seen in over two decades. Hundreds of rivers nationwide have risen above warning levels. As many as 33 rivers have risen to their highest levels in history. Some of the worst-affected areas by the massive flooding include regions that were the hardest hit by the coronavirus pandemic. .
