Homelessness Among School-Age Children Hits Decade-Long High

New data shows homelessness among school-age children in the United
States has surged to a decade-long high. More than 1.5 million public
school students experienced homelessness during the 2017-'18 school
year. That's more than double the number of students who were homeless
over a decade ago. Experts say homelessness can have long-term effects
on a student's health and academic performance.
