Venezuelan President Claims Victory in Parliamentary Elections Boycotted by Opposition

In Venezuela, President Nicolás Maduro has claimed victory in
parliamentary elections. Turnout was unusually low, at just over 30%,
after opposition leader Juan Guaidó called for a boycott of the
election. Maduro is calling on incoming President Joe Biden to abandon
the U.S.'s interventionist agenda in Venezuela and drop all sanctions.
