Trump Admin to Start Selling Drilling Rights in Arctic Wildlife Refuge in January

The Trump administration has announced plans to sell oil drilling rights
in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge for the first time. The January 6
lease sales could complicate President-elect Joe Biden's pledge to
permanently protect the pristine region, which is extremely rich in
biodiversity and has been home to Indigenous peoples for thousands of
years.
