Google Fined $170 Million After YouTube Illegally Collected Personal Data of Children

Regulators have fined You Tube over $170 million for violating the
privacy of children by collecting their personal data without parental
consent. The Federal Trade Commission and New York's attorney general
say You Tube, which is owned by Google, illegally gathered and used the
data to target underage users with advertising. The record settlement
must now be approved by a judge.
