Senate Advances Confirmation of Ex-Monsanto Executive to Lead Wildlife Agency

A Senate committee voted along party lines Wednesday to advance
President Trump's nominee to lead the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Aurelia Skipwith is a former executive at the chemical and agribusiness
giant Monsanto. The Guardian reports she has ties to the Westlands Water
District in California's Central Valley, which has worked to roll back
protections for endangered populations of Chinook salmon and other
species.
