Australia's New South Wales Ends Century-Old Abortion Ban

Legislators in Australia's most populous state, New South Wales, voted
Thursday to decriminalize abortion, ending a century-old law that made
terminating a pregnancy a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
The move will allow abortions up to the 22nd week of pregnancy - or
later if two doctors agree.
