7 Million People Displaced by Extreme Weather in First Half of 2019

This comes as a new report finds extreme weather events around the globe
displaced a record 7 million people during the first six months of the
year. The Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre warns in its midyear
report, "In today's changing climate, mass displacement triggered by
extreme weather events is becoming the norm."
