2.2 Million Somalis At Risk of Starvation Amid Massive Drought

The United Nations is warning that 2.2 million people are expected to go
hungry in Somalia and are at risk of starvation amid a massive drought
that has withered crops, bringing harvests in the East African nation to
70% below average in some areas. The U.N. reports unreliable weather
patterns and "climatic shocks" have coupled with widespread poverty to
trap millions of Somalis in severe hunger and malnutrition.
