Hong Kong: Pro-Democracy Protesters Demand Support from U.S. Lawmakers

In Hong Kong, tens of thousands of activists rallied Monday, calling on
U.S. lawmakers to pass the "Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act."
The legislation could be discussed by the House as early as this week.
It would allow for sanctions to be levied against those deemed to be
"suppressing basic freedoms" in Hong Kong. Protests were also held
across the city over the weekend, with at least 200 people arrested.
