October 10, 2019 Honduras: Protesters Accuse President of Drug Trafficking Ties -------------------------------------------------------------- In Honduras, hundreds of people protested Wednesday against President Juan Orlando Hernández and accused him of having ties to drug traffickers. The Honduran president's brother, Tony Hernández, is on trial in New York City on accusations of trafficking tons of cocaine through Honduras bound for the United States. He's also accused of having personally accepted a million-dollar bribe meant for President Hernández from the notorious Mexican drug lord known as "El Chapo." .
