Federal Court Rules Warrantless Searches of Phones at Airport Are Unconstitutional

In more legal news, a federal court in Boston has ruled that U.S.
authorities' warrantless searches of people's phones and computers at
airports and other U.S. ports of entry violate the Fourth Amendment. The
American Civil Liberties Union and the Electronic Frontier Foundation,
which filed the suit, celebrated the ruling as a victory for privacy
rights.
