Somalia: At Least 15 People Killed in al-Shabab Attack
------------------------------------------------------

In Somalia, a car bomb detonated on a busy road by a hotel and
restaurants in the capital Mogadishu Thursday, killing at least 15 and
wounding at least 17 others, according to local reports. Al-Shabab
militants claimed responsibility for the attack. This is a witness and
Mogadishu resident, speaking after the deadly attack.

Mogadishu resident: "As a mother, it is shocking for me. And I request
those behind the explosions to stop. We are crying every day over dead
bodies, and it is very hard for us to talk about."

The attack comes just days after a car bomb and a gun battle between
security forces and al-Shabab militants killed at least 15 people at a
government building in Mogadishu.
