Nebraska: Flooding Submerges Air Force Base

Meanwhile, in other climate news, massive flooding has forced the
closing of much of the Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska. Flooding
submerged as many as 60 structures on the base, which is the
headquarters of U.S. Strategic Command. In January, the Pentagon
released a report warning that climate change could threaten two-thirds
of the nation's military installations. In October, Hurricane Michael
severely damaged Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida. Vice President Mike
Pence is due to visit the damage later today.
