Venezuelan Opposition Takes Control of Diplomatic Properties in U.S.

Representatives of Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaidó took control
of multiple diplomatic properties in the U.S. Monday, with the support
of the U.S. State Department, including the consulate in New York and
two diplomatic buildings in Washington, D.C. The government of sitting
President Nicolás Maduro, which cut diplomatic ties with the U.S. over
its support for his ouster, called on U.S. officials to "reverse this
forcible occupation."
