El Salvador Rape Survivor Being Retried for Homicide for Having Stillbirth

In El Salvador, a rape survivor who was jailed and later freed after she
had a stillbirth is being retried for aggravated homicide. In 2017,
Evelyn Hernández was sentenced to 30 years in prison for "suspected
abortion" after her stillbirth. But in December last year, the
21-year-old's conviction was annulled. El Salvador is one of six
countries in Latin America with a total abortion ban.
