Trump Administration to Force Asylum Seekers to Return to Mexico

The Trump administration says it will begin sending some asylum seekers
to Mexico while their cases are processed in the United States. The
Department of Homeland Security said late Thursday it will begin
returning Central American asylum seekers to Tijuana, Mexico, across the
San Ysidro Port of Entry near San Diego, California, beginning today.
Immigrant rights groups say the plan violates both U.S. and
international asylum laws, and are planning court challenges.
