Teachers in Chicago and Oakland Take Labor Action

In Chicago, teachers from four charter schools are striking to demand a
pay raise, smaller class sizes and additional school support staff.
Meanwhile, public school teachers in Oakland, California, voted
overwhelmingly this week to authorize a strike, which could start as
soon as the end of next week.
