Judge Halts Arkansas 18-Week Abortion Ban

In reproductive rights news, a federal judge has temporarily blocked
Arkansas's 18-week abortion ban, hours before it was to go into effect,
saying it would cause "irreparable" harm to those seeking abortions. The
judge also blocked a new requirement that abortion providers be
certified in obstetrics and gynecology, and that bans providers from
performing the procedure if the decision to terminate a pregnancy was
based on a fetal diagnosis of Down syndrome.
