U.N. Says Floods in Sudan a "Humanitarian Emergency" as Death Toll Tops 60 People

In Sudan, more than 60 people have been killed by major flooding, which
has affected nearly the entire country. Tens of thousands have been
displaced, and thousands of homes have been destroyed. The U.N. called
the situation in Sudan a humanitarian emergency. Torrential rains and
flash floods are expected to continue until October.
