U.S. and France Agree on Terms of French "Digital Tax" on Tech Giants

The U.S. and France have reached a compromise on a new French digital
services tax that targets internet giants like Google, Amazon, Facebook
and Apple. Under the deal, France would repay those companies the
difference between its digital tax and taxes levied under an upcoming
mechanism set by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and
Development. French President Emmanuel Macron said that France will
eliminate the 3% tax as soon as an international agreement on digital
taxation is reached.
