French President Calls for Global Tax on Tech Giants

French President Emmanuel Macron is defending his call for a global tax
on technology giants, including Apple, Facebook, Amazon and Google,
which employ complex tax dodges to avoid paying tens of billions of
dollars. Ahead of this weekend's G7 talks, Macron told reporters, "The
global tech players do not contribute financially to the funding of the
common good. It is not sustainable."
