Ethiopia: 44 Killed in Ethnic Violence

Ethiopian state media reports that at least 44 people were killed over
the weekend as rival ethnic groups clashed in the west of the country.
Violence and widespread displacement have continued to plague the
Eastern African nation despite recently-elected Prime Minister Abiy
Ahmed's promises to reduce ethnic tensions and violence. Ahmed made
history by signing a peace agreement with neighboring Eritrea earlier
this year.
